FACILITY & LODGING

The Sheraton Four Points Hyannis Resort is surrounded by 52 private acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Each of the 224 deluxe guest rooms features its own private balcony or patio. The hotel offers an 18-hole executive golf course and one of Cape Cod's finest and most complete fitness centers. Their in-house restaurant, the Silver Shell, specializes in New England seafood.

The room rate offered by the Sheraton for this conference is:

  • $99.00 per person, per night for a single or double occupancy room (plus tax)

This rate is good for the weekends before and after the conference, too--but you must register by April 30.

To register, call 1-800-598-4559 and say that you're attending the "MACA Crime Analysis Conference" to get the special rate. You can also visit the hotel's conference web site for more information.

TRANSPORTATION

The Sheraton Hyannis is approximately 74 miles from Logan Airport in Boston, and approximately 84 miles from T. F. Green Airport in Providence, RI. Prices are comparable between the two airports. In good conditions, driving time is slightly faster from Boston, but conditions are rarely good. Providence is often favored because the airport is easier to get in and out of.

Visitors who fly into either airport are encouraged to rent cars rather than try to find shuttle transportation. Shuttles will only be slightly less expensive than week-long car rentals. Visitors who fly into Boston can, if they desire, take a bus from South Station to Hyannis, where a member of the conference staff will be happy to pick them up.

The adventurous may fly to Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis, but such flights almost always require a stop in Boston, and prices are considerably more expensive.
